Happy New Year!

It is pretty clear why I"ve not started a blog in the past, yes? So hard to keep up!

We finished out the party season in CDS Sunday with a Snowflake Ball. Joaquin Gustav provided the music for the first hour, and many of his Tango Time group came to see a new venue for him. The Schloss Neufreistadt makes a great place for a winter ball, but the lag was prohibitive for several people. Hopefully, a remodeling of the schloss will take care of that for future parties.

Being a CDS event, of course there were politics. I hope it wasn't too off putting to our guests... I don't quite understand how being a "CDS" party makes rudeness okay. Maybe there are other reasons I've not written in a blog about such things!

Other events... the Saturnalia party which was scheduled for the Roman Sims was held on December 17th with music provided by Naftali Torok, in her Amphitheater in Alpine Meadow. And the Skating Party on St Nicks day earlier in the month. I'll try to upload photos.

Election season is upon us and we are in a bit of chaos right now. I will refrain from commenting about chaos, and simply wish you a happy new year.

Winter comes to CDS!

On the first of December, the snow started to fall and magically turned the Alpine and Roman sims to a winter wonderland. As the weather continues to get cooler, the rivers are freezing and we may even get some ground cover in Al Andalus! It's a nice change, though it seems we just got all our autumn trees out!

We had a fun celebration of Snow in Neufreistadt and Alpine Meadow on Sunday, December 6 and there is a nice Christkindlmarkt set up, along with a lovely tree decorated with CDS ornaments...There are even some sporting the Al Andalus flag.

The ski slopes are also open and Euterpe Zagoskin has come back to our sims with her excellent skis. Take time to try them out!

Holidays are very busy for us in both first and second life; any chance we get to spend with our friends is a gift I hope none of us overlook!

Happy December!
